The Pleasant Valley School District provides high curriculum standards to meet the Pennsylvania state requirements. In our continuing effort to keep parents informed about their child's curriculum, this page provides a quick reference for reviewing the standards and skills in each grade level.
Many of the following files are made with a PDF extension so that they can be read by Adobe's Acrobat Reader program. The Acrobat Reader program is a free program available here and at Adobe's web site.

Strategic Plan
For the past two decades, the Pleasant Valley School District has been committed to the concept and process of strategic planning. During the 2007-2008 school year, the School District embarked on the development of the strategic plan required for compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). This work was completed in accordance with Chapter 4 regulations of the Pennsylvania School Code which states, “Strategic plans shall be developed through active participation by parents, students, school directors, teachers, school administrators, other school personnel, and business and community members.” The Pleasant Valley School District Strategic Plan serves as the foundation and driving force behind the operations of the School District. Developed every six years, the Pleasant Valley School District Strategic Plan is comprised of six major strategies through which the District will realize its Mission. The current Strategic Plan provides coordination and focus for major School District initiatives from 2008-2014.
