The Pleasant Valley Elementary School is located in Kunkletown, Pennsylvania and educates approximately 1,200 students in grades K-3.  PVE houses 2 full-day intensive and 14 half-day kindergarten programs, along with 14 first grade, 14 second grade and 14 third grade classes.  PVE features the following:
w       An inclusionary philosophy and support services for all students with special needs.

w       A balance of literature-based and skill-based reading instruction and continuous progress monitoring and assessment.

w       A full range of programs provided through guidance counselors, reading and math specialists, instructional support teachers, learning support, ESOL, speech and language teachers, and gifted education.

w       Art, music, health, physical education, and library resources.

w       Assembly programs and field trips.

w       Active parent involvement through the PTO, Library volunteers, tutoring and other committees and activities.

w       Before and after school tutoring programs.

w       An after school intramural program.
w       A school-wide positive behavior support program (PAWS) that reinforces students behavior for meeting established expectations.
