Drama
The Pleasant Valley High School Fall Drama is usually performed the first weekend of December. Students in grades 9-12 may participate in the auditions, which are held within the first two weeks of school. The play is generally cast by the third week of school.  Rehearsals are scheduled for 4-5 days a week. Students can also apply to be part of the stage crew, which handles painting the set, helping to create props, organizing costumes, and moving props and set pieces during the performances.  In addition to working toward an entertaining production, the goals of the directors are to encourage students to use their dramatic gifts and talents, to educate its members about acting through workshops and with guest speakers, to attend outside theatrical performances and to contribute to the general quality of life and well-being of people of all ages and all conditions in the school district and the community through the Fall/Winter performance.  Past plays include: Anne of Green Gables, Princess and the Pea, Diary of Anne Frank, and The Miracle Worker
