Scholastic Scrimmage
Scholastic Scrimmage is an academic competition organized by the MVC where students in grades 9–12 compete to answer general knowledge questions using hand-held buzzers. Schools have JV and Varsity teams who compete at PV for 7 consecutive Mondays, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in November and December. There is usually a squad of 12 players, six for JV and six Varsity. For competition we can only use four students in any one round. The top 2 MVC teams compete in the televised final, usually in early January. Tryouts to select squads begin in October at PVHS.
