Mvc-027s.jpg (31905 bytes) Eldred Elementary School is a small, primary (K-4) school located in Kunkletown, Pennsylvania. There are approximately 300 students currently enrolled in this school. The school has been in operation since 1953 with various grade level structures.

Eldred Elementary currently offers 1/2 day kindergarten programs and full-day programs for grades 1-4. The curriculum provides instruction in Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts (English, Handwriting, Spelling). The subjects of Library, Art, Music, Technology, Physical Education and Health are taught by professional faculty members. The school utilizes a full range of educational services including special education and an enrichment program. Instruction is delivered in an inclusionary setting.

The school is accredited by both Middle States Association and the Department of Education. There is a strong emphasis on child-centered curriculum which is centered around an inclusion philosophy. Support services are provided through guidance counselors, reading specialists, a school nurse, an instructional support teacher, learning support, ESOL, speech and language teachers and gifted education.

.A wide variety of assembly programs and field trips provide and enhance learning experiences. An active Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) complements the academia and provides many social events to the children of our community.
