With a contingent of 27 students, PV was well-represented amongst the nearly 300 young mathematicians competing in the annual Frank Sottile Middle School Math Contest.
Over 100 Pleasant Valley High School students traveled to PVE to share their message of HOPE. Over a 1000 students were able to experience the excitement that the high school students have generating in their effort to change their school, district and community in a positive way.
PVHS Students came to Polk Elementary School on Friday, April 19th to spread HOPE to all students and staff in grades K-3. The members of the HOPE project prepared banners with inspirational words and correlating colors to match the students Field Day T-Shirt color. Click above to read more...

As a part of the ongoing student-led Hope initiative, high school students spent the day at Pleasant Valley Intermediate School on Friday March 22. In order to spread their messages of hope and positivity, students in grades 9-12 helped all of the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders create their own hopeful messages with help from pop media and craft supplies. Pleasant Valley celebrated Read Across America on March 1st. Guest readers added to the celebration at PVI. Dewey, the district’s book mobile, made a visit to share books with the students at Polk Elementary School. Each student walked away with a free book to take home.
Pleasant Valley High School inducted 46 new members into the National Honor Society on Monday, February4th. Congratulations to all the students and their parents receiving this honor.
The Polk PTO hosted the First Annual Family Roller Skating Event Saturday, February 2nd from 1-3PM at LaRose's Skating Rink. This was a wonderful event that many families participated in from Polk Elementary School.
