Social Studies Department

Born and raised in Hallstead, PA, after high school Mr. Goff attended Kutztown University as an art major. Upon discovering that an art degree was not the path for him, he returned home and attended Broome Community College in Binghamton, NY. It was there he discovered sociology and decided to pursue a teaching degree. After transferring to Shippensburg University in 1999, he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2002. He was lucky enough to find a job teaching history at Pleasant Valley High School that same year, and has lived and worked in the district ever since. He has been married since 2006 and has since had three children, Mason, Jayce, and Ava. Mr. Goff is an advisor for weightlifting intramurals, and coaches in the PV softball program.
