Welcome Message: My teaching philosophy is based on a quote by James P. Comer, “No significant learning can occur without a significant relationship”.
I am on my 11th year of teaching 4th grade in the Pleasant Valley School District. I received my undergraduate degree from Montclair State College in New Jersey, my teaching certification from East Stroudsburg University, and my Masters Degree in Education from Wilkes University. I have been a resident of Pennsylvania for the last 20 years. I like to say I am a “Jersey girl living in a Pennsylvania world” originally from Bergen County New Jersey. I worked for a large corporation for 15 years as a marketing manager. I was a stay-at-home mom for several years and raised three beautiful boys that have all gone through the Pleasant Valley School District. I love playing and coaching tennis, skiing, walking, and biking. My “happy” place is anywhere where there is water. I want to teach our children that we never stop learning and seeking to understand ourselves and the world around us.
