Mr. Breiner is thrilled to serve the Pleasant Valley community as the Principal of Pleasant Valley Intermediate School. Prior to joining the Pleasant Valley School District, he completed his undergraduate degrees in education through nearby East Stroudsburg University. After graduating, he began his career teaching health, physical education, driver education, and coaching in the East Penn School District. He completed his master's degree in education at Kutztown University and his K-12 Administrative Certification at Penn State University, Great Valley. After six years in the classroom, he spent six years in administration at Emmaus High School before coming to Pleasant Valley. In his free time, Mr. Breiner is an avid outdoorsman, enjoys hunting and camping, but most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
Mr. Breiner believes that all students can learn but each learns in a different way. Supporting the whole student and helping them grow academically and personally is the center of the work that we do as a school family and with hard work and perseverance we can touch each child in a special way. Mr. Breiner feels that building positive relationships, teamwork, and open communication with students, parents, fellow staff members, and the community is essential in fostering a successful school culture of academic excellence and reaching the goal of helping each child attain his or her full potential. As the leader of Pleasant Valley Intermediate School, he will continue to work with staff to implement a rigorous curriculum that challenges our students to grow to be the very best they can be. He looks forward to working with and meeting as many families as possible at the many family events throughout the year and is excited for a wonderful 2018-2019 school year!Mrs. Kendal AskinsAssistant PrincipalEmail: Askins.Kendal@pvbears.orgPhone: 570-402-1000 Ext. 3018
