• Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.’ –Benjamin Franklin

The keystone of my personal teaching philosophy is what Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck calls the “growth mindset": that an individual’s most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment. Teaching a growth mindset creates motivation and productivity and enhances relationships. My instruction includes varied instructional style and assessments that allow each student to learn in ways that work best for him or her.
