    Biography: 
     
    Mrs. Lowenburg presently serves as the high school librarian and district library media department chair. Previously she was the middle school librarian for 18 years. She is actively involved in many district-wide programs such as Middle States Accreditation, strategic planning, and curriculum and policy development. From 1994 to 2009 she was the Access Pennsylvania IU 20 CONOR Group director, facilitating resource sharing among 100 libraries and providing professional development for their staffs.
     
    Mrs. Lowenburg is a frequent presenter for the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association and taught graduate classes for Wilkes University and Mansfield University. She was also a mentor and presenter for the Governor's Institute for Information Literacy and Reading and was a lead trainer for the information literacy and copyright components of the PDE Principals' Technology Leadership Academy. 
     
    Following ten years as the Artist-in-Residence coordinator for Pleasant Valley, she co-facilitates the National Poetry Out Loud Competition at the high school and has coached three state level and one national competitor.
